Depp To Play Riddler?
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsWith massive success of The Dark Knight, fans, movie goers and media can not stop speculating the direction of the next Batman film. Who is going to replace Ledger as the Joker? Is Two-Face dead? Did The Dark Knight hint that the Catwoman might appear?(watch again closely) Will Angelia Jolie or Kate Beckinsale play Catwoman? Will Johnny Depp play the Riddler? These are all very good questions, but any source that tells you they have the answers is lying to you.
Everything, and I mean everything is speculation. We probably won't have any truth until all of The Dark Knight hype dies down.
So enjoy the reports while they last, but just remember to take them with a grain of salt.
Here...try this report for now. It should keep film lovers gossiping for awhile at least.
Depp To Play The Riddler?
Johnny Depp is tipped to play Batman villain The Riddler in the next installment of the comic book movie series. After the huge success of The Dark Knight, which has taken $440 million at the worldwide box office, producers are confident they can convince Depp to take on Christian Bale's Batman on the big screen. And, according to the National Enquirer, studio bosses also want Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman on board to play another of the Caped Crusader's arch-foe, the Penguin. The Riddler was played on the small screen in the 1960s by Frank Gorshin and in 1995 movie Batman Forever by Jim Carrey. Hoffman would be stepping into the shoes of TV and movie Penguins Burgess Meredith and Danny DeVito. A source tells the Enquirer, "(Producers) are convinced that the role of the Riddler is perfect for Depp. Johnny's a pro. He'll be able to take direction from director Chris Nolan and still make the character his own. "And what better Penguin is there than Philip Seymour Hoffman."

Two-Face In Batman 3?
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsIs Two-Face returning for the third installment of the new Batman series? Has Gordon secretly locked Dent away in Arkham Asylum? Unfortunately, it is highly unlikely.
Although, Aaron Eckhart would reprise his role from The Dark Knight - because working with Christian Bale is "phenomenal".
Eckhart, who plays District Attorney Harvey Dent in the sequel, confesses he "absolutely" would star in a third Batman film.
He tells WENN, "To work with Christian (Bale) all over again, and the cast, would be phenomenal. I think this movie is a movie of a lifetime."

Batman's Bale Arrested And Released
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsThe 34-year-old star of "The Dark Knight" spent four hours at a police station, but was not charged. British media had reported that Bale's mother and sister complained he had assaulted them at the Dorchester Hotel in London on Sunday night.
The actor's reps released the following statement to TMZ: "Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister. Mr. Bale, who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police. At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale."
Christian Bale has denied allegations of assault made by his mother and sister, hours after he was arrested, questioned by London police and released.
What a wonderful family?

The Dark Knight Opening Box Office
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsLooking to crunch some numbers?
The Dark Knight had the widest release opening ever (4,366 theaters) and now the largest midnight opening gross, beating out Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, which made $16.9 million in its midnight release. Christian Bale's Batman brought in an estimated $18.5 million. The film, which opened 12 a.m. on Friday went on to make $50 million in its first day.
The current all-time record for highest single day opening is Spider-Man 3, which made $59.8 million. We will have to wait and see if it can make up some ground to claim the highest weekend box office ever.

Batman The Dark Knight Review
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsLast night was crazy. Theater was packed by eleven thirty and for a good reason. In my opinion, Batman The Dark Knight, was one of the best movies I have seen since the first one was released. However I am not sure which of the two Batman movies I like better.
The new gadgets, vehicle, and body armor were all sick but I feel like Christian Bale was a bigger and better badass in the first movie.
Heath Ledger plays an award winning role as the Joker! He studied how Jack Nicholson created the character and one-uped him. Heath Ledger is by far the better Joker, expect him to receive many awards for this role, as he brought this insane head case to life.
The movie was everything you could expect. Good story, surprise, little humor and a lot of action.
Even if you are not a movie buff like myself I recommend taking the time to see The Dark Knight in theaters. It is well worth the 10 dollars and two and half hours.
