Favre Faxed His Reinstatement
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsBrett Favre faxed in his letter seeking reinstatement to the NFL on Tuesday. Within 24 hours commissioner Roger Goodell will reinstate Favre, then the Packers have another 24 hours until they have to add him onto the active 80 man roster.
On Thursday, the Packers have off, so the earliest we can expect Favre in training camp is Friday. Friday is unlikely as well, unless the Packers have a change of heart and allow Favre to compete for HIS starting position.
Brett sure does look good in Chicago colors. I think he'd even look better in purple.

Favre Doesn't Report To Camp
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsFuture Hall of Fame Quarterback Brett Favre has reached a compromise with Green Bay General Manager Ted Thompson and will not report to training camp which began at 7:30am Central time this Sunday.
In an effort not to be a distraction to what seems will be his former team, Favre is allowing the organization time to work a deal with another team.
Favre also said: "I've also spoken with Commissioner [Roger] Goodell a couple of times this week, in hopes that he could be some sort of arbitrator in this. I hope he can be."
Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy isn't quite sure how this will play out over the next few days. But he does know this much: Favre or no Favre, Aaron Rodgers is his starting quarterback.
Well, if McCarthy can't tell you how it's going to play out, then I can. The Packers will trade Favre and the team will struggle to make the playoffs this season. If the Packers are lucky they could possibly slip in to the playoffs week 16 or 17 only because the NFC sucks.
This is a bad move by the Packers, who are a young franchise with a bright future. Their bright future could have been right now. Favre gives this team an immediate shot at winning a Super Bowl and you are going to trade him away so Aaron Rogers gets a fair shake?
Let's be real. This isn't Pop Warner football, where everybody gets a chance to play. The best should take the field and we all know Favre is better then Rogers. I think even Rogers knows that...

Packers Shopping Favre
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsAccording to NFL analyst Adam Schefter, the Green Bay Packers have contacted 20 teams about a possible trade for future Hall or Famer, Brett Favre.
Roger Goodell talked to Packers GM Ted Thompson, who confirmed the team was ready to move on without Favre. Goodell asked Thompson to begin exploring the market for the disgruntled QB, acccording to WEAU 13, an NBC television affiliate in Wisconsin.
The most talk about a team in the NFC, is quarterback happy Jon Gruden's Tampy Bay Buccaneers. Gruden has a history with Favre as his former quarterbacks coach.
If a deal is going to get done, it should happen soon. Camps are starting and there is sure to be a media frenzy around a trade involving Favre.
Favre's best shot at winning another Super Bowl is with the Packers, but other NFL fans can't help imagine the possibilities if Favre were to join their favorite team.
Places I would like to see Favre:
Vikings (but won't happen with the tampering charges)
Eagles (only if McNabb's injury is more serious then thought)
Bears (just isn't going to happen)
Tampa Bay (it works for me...he could help their struggling offense)
Ravens (dumb not to sign him)
Dolphins (would be fun, they haven't had somebody good since Mario)
Titians (could use him and Young at the same time)
Jets (why not, all their quarterbacks suck)
Redskins (could make them an actual contender, otherwise they are 3rd or 4th best in their division)

Vikings Tamper With Favre?
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsWow! And the Brett Favre saga keeps getting dumber everyday. It almost looks as if Vince McMahon is writing this story himself. Actually, that would be a slap in the face to the WWE.
In the latest twist, the Packers have filed tampering charges with the league office against the Minnesota Vikings for alleged communication with Green Bay's future Hall of Famer.
The Packers general manager Ted Thompson declined to comment.
If the NFL finds out that Darrell Bevell, Vikings offensive coordinator, had inappropriate dialogue with Favre the Vikings will be subject to a loss of draft picks and heavy fines.
How they are going to prove these allegations, is an enigma to myself.
