Rundown Of The NLCS And The ALCS
First off, sorry for not being able to publish my Eagles report yesterday. Time got ahead of me, and I was unable to write anything. But anyway, let's get to the task at hand.
The MLB playoffs are heating up and are getting quite interesting.
Heading into last night, the Los Angeles Dodgers were coming off of a game three win to put their series with the Phillies to 2-1 in favor of Philadelphia. Many were looking at the big game for the Dodgers as a turn-around game and predicted the Dodgers to come back and win. Not so fast my friends! Shane Victorino and Matt Stairs beg to differ.
The Phillies had taken an early 2-0 lead, only to lose that lead. The game went back and forth for seven innings, and in the eigth inning, everything went well for the Phillies.

Josh Hamilton Home Run Derby
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsAn amazing story to tell about Josh Hamilton of the Texas Rangers. 27 years of age Josh Hamilton has been through it all. After being drafted and receiving a 4 million dollar signing bonus, Josh Hamilton turned into a heroin and cocaine addict.
After attending 3 years in rehab and away from the ball field Josh Hamilton found God and managed to make his way back to Major Leagues.
The first round of the Home Run Derby has just ended and
Josh Hamilton hit a record breaking 28 home runs. That is just as many home runs Ryan Howard has after playing 90 games this season.
Too top it all off Josh Hamilton has a 71 year old throwing him batting practice during the Home Run Derby. Josh Hamilton has known this man since he was fifteen.

6 Man Deal
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsAttempting to end their 100-year drought without a World Series title, the NL Central leading Chicago Cubs acquired talented right-hander Rich Harden in a six-player deal with the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday.
The deal consisted of a 6 man trade with the Oakland Athletics. Chicago also got right-hander Chad Gaudin, who pitched previously for Piniella in Tampa Bay, and sent to the A's promising right-hander Sean Gallagher, outfielders Matt Murton, Eric Patterson and minor leaguer Josh Donaldson.
Harden is set to be a free agent at the end of the 2009 season.

Pedro Martinez Will Miss At Least A Month
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsNew York Mets, Pedro Martinez, number two pitcher will be out four to six weeks with a mild strained hamstring which he pulled in his Tuesday night outing. What kind of "MILD" hamstring takes almost over a month to heal? This is not good news for the Mets as they are predicted by some to make it to the World Series title. Their team on paper is a top shelf team but this bad news is not a good way to start things off.

Detroit Tigers Start Off Horrible
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsSecond game into the 2008 Major League Baseball season the Detroit Tigers are off to a 0-2 start. Before this season had started the Tigers were considered the team to beat after many reporters and sports fans predicted them to be this year World Series Champions.
You know your season starts off bad when Kansas City Royals is the team which is beating you. Royals have been an average to below average team for the last couple of years. Kansas City has only started off the season 2-0 twice in their last 28 seasons.
This afternoon Bannister, Royals starting pitcher, only allowed 2 singles in the seventh inning. Detroit's stacked offensive lineup is under performing.
Any baseball fans out there predicted Tigers to be this year's World Series Champs?
