Joe Gibbs And Toyota Have A Good Weekend
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsThis weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Joe Gibbs' racing team finished first and second in Sunday's NASCAR race. It was also Toyota's first NASCAR Sprint Cup victory, thanks to Kyle Bush and his 18 car. Teammate Tony Stewart also finished the race just one spot behind giving Toyota their first one two victory.
Joe Gibb's has to be happy as Kyle Bush's car seems to be dominant thus far this season, and currently two members of his driving team, Kyle Bush and Tony Stewart, are ranked in the top two spots of the NASCAR Spring Cup Series.

Carl Edwards Faces 100 Point Deduction
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsAfter the NASCAR race came to a completion this past sunday, Carl Edwards was fined 100 points, dropping him from first place in the Sprint Cup Series standings down to 7th. He lost 100 points because his oil tank cover had fallen off.
To me this sounds like a bullshit violation.
"Officials said that [it]could create an aerodynamic advantage because it allows air to escape inside the car and creates more downforce." - ESPN
I don't know shit about NASCARs and how they run but I find it hard to believe that removing the oil tank lid off your car is going to cause you to win the race. Can anyone comment on this?
