Tyler Hansbrough will soon be the next member of the University of North Carolina to have their jersey number retired. The junior was just recently honored as Division I National Player of the Year by Sporting News. UNC has tradition to retire any jersey number for any of their athletes who earn Nation Player of the Year honors.

Tyler Hansbrough's jersey will be hanging along side, Michael Jordan, James Worthy and Phil Ford.

"It truly is something special to have accomplished," Hansbrough said. "In fact, it's kind of hard to sit here and talk about how it feels to be put in the same category as the players who are up there already." - ESPN

It was announced Monday afternoon that Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade is done for the season. The former MVP who has been injured the whole year with a pain his left knee will be watching from the bench during the Heat's last 21 games this season.

With the hope of the playoffs gone Miami Heat dished off their big guy Shaq O'neal and now have decided to bench their main man Dwyane Wade. I think it is a good move as there is no reason to injury their best player anymore than he already is. If Miami was in the playoff hunt I would say suck it up but there is no need to, they need to think about getting him to rehab.

King James had an outstanding game last night on the road in Madison Square Garden against the Knicks. James lead the way for his team by scoring 50 points, his second time this season reaching 50 or more.

With minutes left he had the crowd standing chanting "MVP!". Remember he was on the road! Lebron James is only 23 years of age, has been in the league for 5 years and not only owns any court he plays on but also all the fans in every state.

At the very end of the game a guy from the stands ran across the court to the Cavs bench and spoke with Lebron is person, expressing how much of a fan of King James he is.

Lebrons reaction: "It was a great feeling. You get a fan to come down there to express the way he feels about you ... told me I was his favorite player, that never happens," James said. "I respect him. I respect his pride and for him to come out there and tell me something like that face to face. It's like the (most) unbelievable thing that ever happened to me."

Young classy guy and someone day may pass MJ as the best basketball player to ever play.
