Somebody call Bo Jackson, because the greatest football franchise is returning to the Nintendo DS. Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff is back and we are happy to say that several sources claim the game play will be very similar to the NES version, Tecmo Super Bowl.

The arcade-style sports game was a lot easier to get into than the Maddens of today. Madden takes months of dedication, while you can still have hours of endless play with Tecmo, the game also allows for fast fun as well.

Since Electronic Arts has the video game rights to use NFL Teams, logos, player likenesses and stadiums in gaming products through Super Bowl XLVII in 2013, Tecmo will be fighting a uphill battle.

But don't count Tecmo out. They have put together a solid online game that is completely customizable, so fans all over the world can create all their NFL favorites or even bring their high school football team to life.

Features:

• Customize your team: Choose your team colors, emblems, player names, team cities and abilities.
• Wi-Fi and Wireless Multiplayer: Play against your friends across the country or across the room.
• Stylus Control: Feel the action as you use the stylus to control your player.
• Variety of teams: Choose from 32 different teams, including the Los Angeles Super Cocks.
• Cut-scenes: All-new cut-scenes showing off the dramatic presentation of various plays.
• Super Abilities: Tactical use of the abilities will devastate the opposition.
• Customizable Playbook: Prepare for gridiron greatness by customizing your playbook.
• Music and sound effects: Turn up the heat on your opponent as you play the game to rock ‘n’ roll remixes of the most memorable tunes in football gaming history!

Several release dates are being thrown around. Nobody truly knows if the game will release in September or November. But either way this will be a great warm up for when Tecmo is released on the Wii in 2009. I'm sure Tecmo league commissioners are already preparing for the launch.

GTA:Chinatown Wars hits the Nintendo DS. Wow! First, an Assassins Creed prequel, now Grand Theft Auto. Now they just have to start bringing these games to the Wii console.

According to Nintendo the game will be the "same free roaming GTA" experience for the hand held system. Now we will have to wait and see if you can have sex with prostitutes and shoot old ladies in the face.

The Zelda Team Working Again

Can you say Wii Zelda exclusive? I can, and I'm sure all the fan boys in the universe are about to explode in their pants.

Nintendo vaguely confirmed that the Zelda team is reassembled, along with the Mario team as well. So, expect at least two great titles, if not more if you are including the Nintendo DS.

I wouldn't expect anything in 2008, but 2009 has huge possibilities awaiting.

Reported from ign.com, Eiji Aonuma gave a presentation on The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess at GDC 2007. At that time, he showed a brief snippet of an experimentation the Zelda team conducted -- it was Twilight Princess running in the first-person view. They asked Miyamoto if such a fundamental change could await players of Wii's next Zelda adventure.

"I don't necessarily think it will change that drastically, but I think that Zelda is a franchise that does need some big new unique ideas," he said. "And so the team right now is very focused on trying to find those ideas."

With the addition of Wii MotionPlus, the next Zelda could be out of control. I can't wait to spend 3 full work weeks playing video games.

Better late then never. Nintendo is joining the voice chat market. It would have been nice to see it available for Mario Kart Wii. The company probably figured Mario Kart would sell itself, but the addition of voice chat probably would have made it one of the most popular games of all time!

Anyway, Animal Crossing: City Folk will be released November 16th and will utilized the WiiSpeak hardware. The WiiSpeak microphone will be available separately for $29.99. Hopefully, Nintendo won't come up with something to filter out our favorite 4-letter words.

Wii MotionPlus = More Motion

Nintendo is already upgrading its every dominate motion sensitive controller. Nintendo will reveal the MotionPlus accessory at this year's E3 show.

The Wii MotionPlus plug-in accessory will redifine game control, by moe quickly and accurately reflecting motions in a 3-D space. The Wii MotionPlus accessory attaches to the end of the Wii Remote and, combined with the accelerometer and the sensor bar, allows for more comprehensive tracking of a player's arm position and orientation, providing players with an unmatched level of precision and immersion. Every slight movement players make with their wrist or arm is rendered identically in real time on the screen, providing a true response in their game play.

I bet George Lucas is going to have a field day with this new technology. Get ready for him to start his own Jedi army through his own Nintedno Wii MotionPlus Jedi academy.
