The Olympics started, so there should be excitement and joy in the lives of every sports fan, right?
Well, that is not the case with the Bachman family. On Friday they traveled together to the Drum Tower, a popular tourist attraction in Beijing. Then came the knife-wielding man, the unprovoked attack, an assailant jumping 130 feet to his death and everyone is left to wonder what the hell just happened.
This attack left CEO Todd Bachman dead and his wife Barbara in critical condition, while former U.S. Olympian and daughter of the couple witnessed the shocking criminal act.
Questions remain unanswered in part because details of the attack remain scarce.
Who would guess Dara Torres would have a chance to make history in Beijing? Well actually, after you see her ripped abs what you wouldn't guess is that Torres is a 41 year old mom and will be the oldest female swimmer in the history of the Olympic Games.
