By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsIn a summer of box office records, stoner comedy Pineapple Express has scored the best-ever Wednesday opening at the U.S. box office in August after taking in more than $12 million in its first day on release.
The Judd Apatow produced film, which pairs James Franco and Seth Rogen as high pals on the run, has smashed the August opening record set by sequel The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement in 2004, which made 8.9 million.

Rogen Smoking Marijuana? No Way.
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsReportedly, Knocked Up star, Seth Rogen was thrown out of a Pineapple Express post party after fellow revelers accused him of smoking marijuana. Rogen and James Franco star in this pot filled movie hitting theaters this August.
A source tells the New York Post, "He was told to put it out immediately or leave."
A spokesperson for the star has declined to comment on the incident.
