Pineapple Success
In a summer of box office records, stoner comedy Pineapple Express has scored the best-ever Wednesday opening at the U.S. box office in August after taking in more than $12 million in its first day on release.
The Judd Apatow produced film, which pairs James Franco and Seth Rogen as high pals on the run, has smashed the August opening record set by sequel The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement in 2004, which made 8.9 million.

Rogen Smoking Marijuana? No Way.
Reportedly, Knocked Up star, Seth Rogen was thrown out of a Pineapple Express post party after fellow revelers accused him of smoking marijuana. Rogen and James Franco star in this pot filled movie hitting theaters this August.
A source tells the New York Post, "He was told to put it out immediately or leave."
A spokesperson for the star has declined to comment on the incident.

Andy Dick Arrested For Drugs And Sexual Battery
Andy Dick always finds himself in trouble with the law. Early Wednesday morning outside of a Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar, Andy Dick grabbed and fondled a 17 year old girl's breast. To top it all off he even took it a step further and pulled down her tank top.
Reports say that Andy Dick was heavily intoxicated by 1:15am, which was the time of the incident. Police even found one Xanax pill and one gram of marijuana on him. They released DICK on $5,000 bail.

Beckett Will Not Throw In Opener?
Boston Red Sox's stud 20 game winner, Josh Beckett, will NOT be starting the first game on opening day. The other day during an exhibition game, Beckett walked off the mound during his warm up pitches with a tweak in his back. He did not seem to walk off in extreme pain as there was no limp, but Red Sox must have some concern if they already announced he will not be starting.
"I don't think we know [for sure] yet," Francona said. "But we're certainly not going to rush him back to pitch a game March 24 if he's not ready."
Josh Beckett however did report yesterday that is his back is feeling better. All you Red Sox fans out there keep those fingers crossed that his back does not continue to act throughout the season.
