Will Ferrell Turns Down 29 Milion
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsStep Brothers star, Will Ferrell has turned down $29m to star in a sequel to Elf.
He said: "I was offered $29 million for a sequel, but I never liked it. It does seem a lot of money for a guy to wear tights. It's insane. But it wasn't difficult to turn down. I remember asking myself could I withstand the criticism when it's bad and they say, 'He only did the sequel for the money.
"I decided I wouldn't be able to. I didn't want to erase all the good work I've done, but you watch - I'll do some sequel in the future that's c**p."
Will also ruled out starring in a sequel to Old School, which saw him play an overgrown student alongside Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson.
He insisted: "I wouldn't do another Old School. They put these rumors out there, but I would never be behind that one."
What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? Are you crazy!? No chance for Old School 2. Old School is only one of the greatest comedies of all time. Don't let Ferrel stop this one from happening. Bring in Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller, or move Artie Lang into a leading role but don't let Ferrell stop this movie from finding its way back into the theater.
Shame on you, Frank the Tank.

Wii Will Rock You!
By Saving A Sketch, You Agree To Our Terms and ConditionsElectronic Arts confirmed that a Wii version of Rock band will debut on June 22nd in North America. The total package will include a wireless guitar, a set of drums, a microphone and the actual game. This package will set players back approximately $169.99. Rock Band for Wii features 63 songs, five of which are "bonus" tracks presumably exclusive to the version.
Shockingly, this release will not support online play, downloadable content, nor will any of the instruments support the wireless Wii remote. The company reports that their main focus is on core gameplay.
What this really sounds like is that Electronic Arts wasn't prepared for the success of Nintendo Wii and now they are trying to push out an unfinished product to compete with Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. Instead of giving the devoted gamer their money's worth, the company is taking a step back to push a faster release, which ultimately screws over the fans of the franchise. Why am I not surprised?
