Sega and Nintendo recently announced that games from Sega's 8-bit systems - the Master System, Mark III, and Game Gear portable - will be coming to the Wii's Virtual Console in Japan. The SG-1000 Mark III is an 8-bit video game console made by Sega. It was the original Japanese incarnation of the Sega Master System. As of right now, no decision has been made on whether the games will be available in North America, but in Japan the first releases will cost 600 Wii points. The Sega Master System is best know for its groundbreaking RPG Phantasy Star. Long live Alis, Odin, Myau, and Noah.
It's 1987, two years after the release of Rocky IV, arguably one of the greatest Rocky movies ever made. Sega Master System gives you a chance to relive all the films in one little game. And when I say little, I mean there is not a whole lot of content in the 8-bit two-mega cartridge. Although, the content is lacking, the graphics are not. This is one fine-looking boxing game, especially for back in the day.
One player can move through the competition, while two players can beat the heck out of each other in a button mash-a-thon.
In one player mode Rocky Balboa partakes in training between events. This mode has good smooth animation. Excelling in training, enviably helps Rocky in the preceding fight.
Rocky has to battle his way through 3 levels. In each level you face a different fighter in this order: Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago, the steroid using Russian.
In 20 years I have still never beaten Ivan Drago. He destroys me with his powerful straight right hand ever time. If you think I'm retarded, I suggest you attempt to fight him yourself. I won't say he is unbeatable, but he is pretty damn hard. Good luck fighters. You will need the Eye of the Tiger.
