The Miami Dolphins, Jason Taylor, got what he wished for after Dancing with the Stars...a trade. The Washington Redskins acquired Taylor from Miami for a second-round pick in 2009 and a sixth-rounder in 2010.
Well, that wasn't his entire wish. Taylor wished for a chance to win this season and it has been flushed down the toilet with his trade to Washington. Not only is Washington not the best team in their division, they're is a very good chance they will end up in 3 or even last place. Say goodbye to the playoffs for the rest of your career.
According to ESPN.com's John Clayton, Taylor told the Redskins he did not need to renegotiate and was willing to play for the final two years of his contract. He is scheduled to make $8.1 million this season. With around $9 million of cap room, the Redskins were able to work the trade quickly.
Good luck Jason Taylor...you're going to need it now more then ever.
With the recent injury of Moises Alou, the New York Mets are looking for someone to fill the gap in their outfield. Earlier this week Alou went out with a hernia and should be on the IR for weeks to come. In the mean time rumors have been flying that the Mets maybe looking to make a trade.
Some talk has been said that the Mets are talking to the Tigers' to acquire Marcus Thames or the Pirates' for Xavier Nady, who is a former New York Met.
Even some wild and unlike rumors have been spreading saying the Mets even thought twice about talking with the old Kenny Lofton, Barry Bonds and Sammy Sosa. If they picked up Barry Bonds, I will officially hate the Mets for the rest of my life, it would be nothing other than a marketing move to bring in more fans because the dude is old, fat and can't play the field anymore!
