Former Friends star, Jennifer Aniston is set to stalk Alec Baldwin when she makes a return to the small screen with a guest appearance on hit U.S. TV show 30 Rock.
It is a sad, sad time for fans of music and fans of Dave Matthews Band. Saxophonist LeRoi Moore, founder of the alternative rock group Dave Matthews Band, has died from complications related to an earlier accident in an all-terrain vehicle, the band said Wednesday. Nursing supervisor Galina Shinder said, the hospital could not release details.
The band went ahead with a scheduled concert in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening and dedicated the performance to Moore, who was 46, US media reported.
"We are deeply saddened that LeRoi Moore, saxophonist and founding member of Dave Matthews Band, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2008, at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles from sudden complications stemming from his June ATV accident on his farm near Charlottesville, Virginia," the band said on its website.
"LeRoi had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin an intensive physical rehabilitation program."
Fans who attended Tuesday's concert expressed sadness over Moore's death and concern about the band's future without him. "LeRoi was just super important to the band," Shawn Harrington said before the concert. "That's how the band came to be."
Saxophonist Jeff Coffin, who played with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, had been sitting in for Moore during the band's summer tour.
Don't expect replacement details for Moore for some time, because he truly can't be replaced.
Electronic Arts confirmed that a Wii version of Rock band will debut on June 22nd in North America. The total package will include a wireless guitar, a set of drums, a microphone and the actual game. This package will set players back approximately $169.99. Rock Band for Wii features 63 songs, five of which are "bonus" tracks presumably exclusive to the version.
Shockingly, this release will not support online play, downloadable content, nor will any of the instruments support the wireless Wii remote. The company reports that their main focus is on core gameplay.
What this really sounds like is that Electronic Arts wasn't prepared for the success of Nintendo Wii and now they are trying to push out an unfinished product to compete with Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. Instead of giving the devoted gamer their money's worth, the company is taking a step back to push a faster release, which ultimately screws over the fans of the franchise. Why am I not surprised?
